Diamond Turning Engineer

WORKING HOURS
  • Full Time
  • 40 hours per week
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Setup, operate and adjust complex CNC diamond turning machines for the production of low and high volume delicate infrared and metal optics made of materials such as aluminum, copper, germanium, silicon, zinc selenide, calcium fluoride and more
  • Cleaning, inspection and packaging of optics
  • Recording data and writing inspection reports
  • Using various types of metrology equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, interfererometers and contact measurement systems
  • Reading and interpreting of customer drawings and documents and conveying any inconsistencies or problems that may affect production or are cost drivers
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • CNC machining, inspection, QC and/or optics experience extremely helpful but not required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of MS Word and MS excel in addition to basic computer skills
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
