I found an item in the catalog that's close to what I need, but the piece is too thick/wide?
If our catalog item is close to your specifications but is a bit too big, we can cut it to size for you. You like our two inch window, but you need it cut to 42 mm: we can do that. The plano-convex lens has the focal length you need, but the center is too thick? We can thin it for you. If you need an uncoated catalog part coated, we can do that too.
Some options can even be shipped the within a week. We keep a wide variety of materials on hand. We can make:
Germanium (Ge), Silicon (Si) up to 2.5 inches in diameter;
Gallum Arsenide (GaAs), Calcium Fluoride (CaF2)
Barium Fluoride (BaF2) up to 2 inches in diameter;
Zinc Selenide (ZnSe), Zinc Sulfide Clear Grade (ZnS) up to 3 inches in diameter.
Typical fast turn tolerances for a 25mm diameter lens are:
Diameter: +0, -0.13mm
Center Thickness: +/-0.05mm
IRR (asphere and sphere): 1 fringe @ 633nm wavelength
IRR(plano): 1 fringe @ 633 nm wavelength
Radius: +/-0.1% on base radius
Clear aperture: 95%
Wedge: < 3 arc min
Our fast prototyping can also include coatings, including our most popular antireflection coatings:
3-5 µm on Silicon (BBAR-SI-3-5) or Germanium (BBAR-GE-3-5),
8-12 µm on Germanium (BBAR-GE-8-12) or Zinc Selenide (BBAR-ZNSE-8-12),
2-13 µm on Zinc Selenide (BBAR-ZNSE-2-13).
We have standard antireflection coatings for CdTe, CaF2, GaAs, AMTIR-1 as well as protective coatings and reflective coatings. A full list of our standard coatings can be found here. If our standard coatings don't meet your needs, we can design a new custom coating just for you.
While we cannot give a specific lead time for an unknown part, we can offer some sample lead times assuming ISP's standard tolerance specifications.

- If you need a brand new part and you need it coated, we can ship in 10-20 days.
